Why is it important for us to remember God\u2019s promises as we engage in spiritual battle?The apostle Peter reminds us in his epistle of the importance of appropriating God\u2019s promises in our Christian lives, saying:Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4 KJV)In this verse, Peter mentions two benefits of appropriating God\u2019s \u201cexceeding great and precious promises,\u201d which are as follows:\u201cPartakers of divine nature\u201d\u201cEscape the corruption that is in the world through lust\u201dGod\u2019s promises help us to live a godly life free of the corrupting influences of sin.\u00a0The secret to living a victorious life in Christ is to take advantage of God\u2019s promises and put their principles into practice on a daily basis.\u00a0\u00a0God\u2019s promises encourage us to be faithful in all situations.Christ was able to withstand Satan\u2019s temptations in the wilderness because He relied on God\u2019s promises. He overcame all temptations by relying on the promises of God.If we want to win the good fight of faith, we must arm our minds with God\u2019s promises. God\u2019s word, when committed to memory, gets us ready for battle.That being said, here are the 24 encouragements from the word of God to help you fight the good fight of faith:1. The Battle Is Spiritual, so Harness Divine PowerFor the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4, NKJV).For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
